Testimonials: Informed Tree Services Ltd.

At ITS Ltd we never take our clients (new or existing) for granted. We realise it is vitally important for you to have full confidence in the service you are commissioning. With this in mind we hope the following testimonials from some of our clients help you make the correct choices.

The developer needing a BS5837 Survey:

"Informed Tree Services provided an expert service which was quick, helpful and good value for money. The tree survey and reports produced enabled me to effectively manage my development and protect valued trees, ensuring my planning application gained approval from the forestry officer. I will definitely be using Informed Tree Service again for my next project."

Iain Mackey

The large landowner/manager requiring tree safety inspections:

"Chris Simpson tendered for a 3 year contract for tree inspections within Tay Forest District in 2012. His submission was very professional and extremely competitive, which ensured that he got the work. From the very start Chris approached this with a refreshingly professional attitude, making sure that he fully understood all of the clients’ needs, whilst also suggesting ways in which the data could better be recorded and submitted. Chris completed the work on time and was completely professional throughout. He obviously knows his subject very well as he more than ably demonstrated. I look forward to working with him over the next couple of years.

I would have no problems in recommending Chris to anyone who requires a professional arborist".

Hamish Murray, Communities, Recreation and Tourism Manager, Forestry Commission Scotland, Tay Forest District.

The concerned private tree owner requiring detailed condition feedback:

In October 2010, following the fall of a dangerously large branch from our 200 year-old beech tree here at Deanwood, Pencaitland, I commissioned a complete survey of all the trees in the garden. Chris spent a morning , carefully mapping and assessing all the 8 listed & tagged trees before preparing a major report, to be submitted to the East Lothian Council for permission to fell or trim back as necessary, in order to meet my duty of care. He completed a full Visual Tree Assessment from ground level, then a Picus Tomograph of the badly damaged old beech, in order to gauge its health and prospects. The resulting Report also indicated all the remedial work required.

I found the report very useful

a)for myself – to know what needed to be done and why.

b) It was duly submitted to the East Lothian Council, for permission to work on the trees. They were impressed by the Report’s thoroughness, clarity and professionalism , and recommended that the work Chris had advised be carried out forthwith by one of their nominated & validated Tree Surgeon companies.

c) In their turn, the Tree Surgeon I used found the Report a very useful, detailed basis on which to work.

Informed Tree Services were recommended to me; in my turn, I am happy to commend Chris Simpson and his company to anyone requiring similar information and advice.

Fiona E. Tennick (Mrs) East Lothian

The Arboricultural training candidate:

"I have had the pleasure of training with Informed tree services and Chris for close to three years on various different courses. Over this time I have always found the courses to be well planned with plenty of notice and clear prior information. The courses are always very well presented by extremely knowledgeable and supportive instructors, and attended by enthusiastic candidates that add to the enjoyment. I have no hesitation in recommending informed tree services for your training needs, and will continue to use them to further my training".

Alan McDowall, Tree Surgeon - Dunblane

The Local Authority Tree Officer:

"As a local authority Arboricultural Officer who has frequently used Inform Tree Services for the production of tree reports and surveys, plus arboricultural training courses I can confirm that I have found that the company (via Chris Simpson) has provided North Ayrshire Council with a service that is professional, flexible, informative and helpful and would highly recommend the company to those wishing to procure such arboricultural services. The work is produced and delivered in a professional and comprehensive manner both to a high industry standard and on time".

Walter Swanston - Arboricultural Officer, North Ayrshire Council.

The Tree Surgery company requiring LOLER inspections:

"Ayrshire Tree Surgeons Ltd would not consider using anyone other than Chris at Informed Tree Services for our LOLER inspections. His meticulous approach and professionalism gives us and our guys complete confidence in our climbing and lowering kit"

Stuart Leith, Director - Shire Tree Surgeons Ltd.
